Passive single-sided anti-decubitus mattress for stage IV (high risk)
- this mattress has been designed for patients who are at high risk of developing pressure ulcers (20 – 13 of Norton Scale);
- high of mattress is 15 cm in standard;
- it is made of memory and special PUR foam with increased strength, resilience, and elasticity (Flexifoam® FF);
- the resting area made of 6 cm thick memory (thermoactive viscoelastic) foam is sophistically divided into 7 zones. The memory foam layer reacts to the pressure and heat of the human body, perfectly adapting to its anatomy and thereby substantially relieving the areas with the high load in particular. The memory foam used increases the contact area by approximately 50%. The instant pressure alleviation ensures relief of pain and improves blood circulation in the tissues (helps prevent excessive pressure from lying – circulatory disturbances). Body heat accumulates in the memory layer while the integrated passive ventilation system supports the optimum bed climate;
- the mattress base is made of elastic, air-permeable, and resilient foam (Flexifoam® FF) with a more open-cell structure, which supports bed ventilation. The foam has increased resilience against long-term pressure;
- side-to-side cuts in both halves of the mattress core ensure better air circulation, channel vapour away, and protect patients from moisture and overheating. Moreover, they enable better positioning (bending of mattress) and maintain the shape of the mattress even if it is not loaded
- .The cover is made of PU upholstery fabric, in a combination of ultrasonic weld and stitching, of highly elastic and robust four-way stretch material, soft, pleasant surface, without rubber appearance. This is removable and washable up to 95°C, highly breathable, allowing disinfectant wiping, impermeable to liquids, mites and moulds, and permeable to vapours. Zipper design: 3-sided. The zipper is covered with a protective drip flap. The cover is provided with a permanent marking of the head and foot parts for easy handling, respectively control over the regular rotation of the mattress (facilitation for the nursing staff), even if the mattress has a symmetrical construction of zone division.
