Passive single-sided anti-decubitus mattress for level IV (high risk)

• this mattress has been designed for patients who are at high risk of developing pressure ulcers / to treat already formed pressure ulcers (20 – 13 of Norton Scale);
• high of mattress is 18 cm in standard;
• the resting area consists of removable modules structured according to the customer’s needs. The
  maximum of up to 5 modules can divide the resting area longitudinally (½ or ¼ of the mattress length), or laterally (½ of the mattress width), or a combination of those. They consist of memory foam (thermoactive viscoelastic foam) or gel foam (Geltouch), which relieves pressure while maintaining high air-permeability and low firmness, or XDURA® hybrid foam, which has similar properties as the gel foam but it has higher compression resistance and offers extreme mechanical robustness, air-permeability, and elasticity. The mattress can also come with a cast gel module, which modifies the firmness of the required zone. The gel module GELTECH® – is not over the full area (it works as a “pressure distribution layer” similarly to gel bike saddles, for example) and allows good breathing of the mattress. Gel segments are always completed with a baring vapour-permeable layer of made of XDURA® hybrid foam. The core base is made of a specially
  profiled, elastic, and air-permeable resilient foam FLEXIFOAM® FF fitted with multidirectional air vents, which – together with the middle part of the core shaped into “foam springs” (the CUBECARE TECHNOLOGY BY HILDING) – work as air pumps and help air the mattress with every movement of the patient’s body;
• apart from standard bed bases of hospital beds, the mattress can be placed on slat or lamella bed bases or solid boards with ventilation perforation. Recommended bed base: non-adjustable bed base;
• a version of such an assembled mattress is a module mattress with the resting area and the mattress base glued together in a single permanently joined piece. In such a case, neither the dimensions nor the number of modules is limited and the mattress can be profiled with the hospital bed in a standard way;
• cover is made of PU upholstery fabric, in a combination of ultrasonic weld and stitching, of highly elastic and robust four-way stretch material, soft, pleasant surface, without rubber appearance. This is removable and washable up to 95°C, highly breathable, allowing disinfectant wiping, impermeable to liquids, mites and moulds, and permeable to vapours. Zipper design: 3-sided. The zipper is covered with a protective drip flap. The cover is provided with a permanent marking of the head and foot parts for easy handling, respectively control over the regular rotation of the mattress (facilitation for the nursing staff), even if the mattress has a symmetrical construction of zone division.
